Welcome to AfC Virtual School
AfC Virtual School supports the education of all children with a social worker. This includes Children Looked After (CLA), Previously Looked After Children, children in Kinship Care, Children in Need, those on Child Protection Plans, and Care Leavers across Kingston, Richmond, and Windsor and Maidenhead.
Virtual Schools operate across the country to champion the education of children with a social worker. We work closely with schools, social care teams, and carers to improve outcomes and promote educational success.
Our Headteachers are responsible for making sure that the progress and achievement of these children are recognised and prioritised by everyone involved in their lives.
For Children Looked After, AfC Virtual School monitors educational progress for all children in care from Kingston, Richmond, and Windsor and Maidenhead—whether they attend school locally or elsewhere.
Virtual Schools exist to champion the education of children with a social worker, including those who are currently in care, previously looked after, in kinship care, on child protection or child in need plans, and care leavers.
