AfC Virtual School’s Board of Governors meet termly to offer insight, support and challenge to assist the Virtual School Head in developing provision for students in the Virtual School.

The provision of governance and external scrutiny is evidence of Achieving for Children’s commitment to the education of Looked After Children.

In addition to the Board of Governors holistic scrutiny of the work of the VSH and her team, each Governor is a Link Governor for one of the Seven Mission Statements, which are a golden thread throughout the work of the school.

Governors are currently receiving induction on their specialist area which will enable more focused discussions at Board Meetings.

We are fortunate to have such an experienced and well qualified Governing Board who are well placed to support the school. Their commitment and enthusiasm is much valued.
