AfC Virtual School supports the education of all children with a social worker (Children Looked After, Previously Looked After Children, Child In Need, Child Protection and Care Leavers) in the boroughs of Kingston, Richmond and Windsor & Maidenhead.
Virtual schools exist nationally to champion the education of children with a social worker and support a wide range of partners. Virtual school headteachers are responsible for ensuring that the educational achievement of children with a social worker is seen as a priority by everyone who has responsibility for promoting their welfare.
In terms of our children looked after, AfC Virtual School monitors the educational progress of all Kingston, Richmond and Windsor & Maidenhead children in care whether they attend schools in or out of the borough.
